Capturing the camaraderie between Penn Cooks guest chefs and students is almost as fun as the meal itself.
Just like when I take professional portraits, my goal when photographing live events is to showcase people at the top of their game. Penn Cooks is one such event, where award-winning chefs from all sorts of backgrounds bring their own version of culinary community—and mouthwatering recipes—to Penn’s dining halls. It’s my job to capture both the deliciousness of the food and the strong sense of camaraderie.

Students hear from the chefs firsthand about their lives and career experiences while sampling some of their signature dishes. Occasionally, they’ll have the opportunity to try making the food themselves! Food has brought people together since the beginning of time, and Penn Cooks gives students the chance to embark on a culinary journey around the world—without ever leaving campus.
